Nowadays, when it‘s no longer problem to publish hundreds or thousands of hours of archival material on the Internet, the opposite problem arises - how to convince the audience to choose our material from the mass of archival content available online. Therefore, it‘s important to look for new and creative ways how to work with the archive and how to make it available to the public. The first such a project was the reconstruction of TV broadcasting in 1968. On the background of a television program featuring hundreds of hours of the then broadcasting and many other archival materials, a comprehensive picture of the cultural and political situation of the year opens up. Another project, interactive comics Television Against Tanks, also deals with the year 1968, specifically with the first week of the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia. The story maps the heroic deeds of the then ČST employees who did not interrupt the broadcast despite the presence of the occupation armies. All this is accompanied by preserved archival videos, photographs and explanatory texts. The Czech TV Archives tried to bring the well-known events closer to the public through their depiction in the then television broadcasting - whether it was Jan Palach's self-immolation or the perception of the founding of Czechoslovakia during communism. The year 2019 is in the spirit of commemoration of the fall of the Iron Curtain. Czech TV has been also preparing its projects to commemorate this event. Instead of an ordinaryfactual website we plan to release the online board game "Action Freedom". It will guide the user through a revolutionary year, and in an entertaining way will bring him closer to the realities of that time. However, we should not just focus on "internet space". In our projects we try to bring the archives directly to the people. Our project of lectures, interactive exhibitions and other regional events will allow us to reach a specific audience right at their place of residence.
