Virtual (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are very promising technologies and very suitable to show the engaging power of archival footage. During the coffee and lunch breaks, FIAT/IFTA is proud to be able to offer you two state-of-the-art showcases of the use of archival footage in VR and AR, by BBC and INA.


BBC will present:
  • 1943 Berlin Blitz (Virtual Reality)
  • Make Noise (Virtual Reality)
  • Nothing to be Written (Virtual Reality)
  • The Rewind Archive Search Portal (Augmented Reality)
INA will present their 'Replay Memories' Virtual Reality application.
